About Bamboo Decking:

Compressed bamboo decking is made using advanced technology which compresses bamboo fibers into a solid plank. Unlike other conventional materials, Bamboo decking does not suffer from bleeding, leaching or staining, this makes it a practical choice for residential and commercial applications. Each decking board has two faces with different grip treads. They can be used all the same way or interchangeably to create a contrast.

As bamboo is a natural product, the colour may vary from that in the pictures.

Bamboo Decking is highly stable and durable

Bamboo is uncompromising in its durability. Scoring 2820 on the Janka hardness test (the most commonly used test for measuring hardwoods) bamboo scores the highest against other common decking materials e.g. Kwila. You can be confident that our decking is extremely tolerant to denting and normal wear. Expansion and contraction are the main factors that make decking unstable overtime. The Coefficienst for Dimensional Change (CDC) of bamboo decking are 0.00144 which makes bamboo decking subject to only half the contraction and expansion of Kwila, making it a superior alternative.

Bamboo is a renewable and sustainable resource, being one of the fastest growing plants it takes only 4 – 6 years to mature, making it an environmentally friendly alternative to other solid wood deckings.

Installing bamboo decking

Bamboo decking comes pre-finished saving on installation time and hassle. The maximum joist spacing is 450mm and the minimum gap between each board is 5mm. Pre-drilling must be done before any nailing or screwing. For further information please contact us.
